Chapter 08
Plan and pricing
One fixed price per site, no matter how much you sell. No commission on your sales. Test mode is always free.
Price
$9.90 a month per site. There is just this one price, billed monthly and cancellable at any time.
The price is in US dollars, plus tax where it applies. Stripe calculates it at checkout based on your billing address:
- Switzerland: no VAT.
- Private customers in the EU: the VAT rate of your country.
- Businesses with a valid VAT number: you can enter the number at checkout. Whether reverse charge then applies is decided by Stripe based on your details.
You see the exact amount at checkout before you pay. Whether and how you can reclaim the tax yourself is a question for your accountant. The overview is also on the checkout plugin page, and the binding rules are in the plugin terms.
What "per site" means
A site is one Framer project with one Stripe connection. How many pages, products or orders it has makes no difference.
What you don't pay
- No commission. We earn nothing from your sales.
- Nothing for test mode. Setting up and testing is free for as long as you like.
Stripe itself charges its usual fees on each payment. Stripe deducts them directly in your account, they don't go to us.
Subscribe
- In the plugin, open "Plan".
- Click "Start plan". A kspr studio Stripe Checkout opens. Enter your billing address and payment details, plus your VAT number if you have one, and complete it.
- Close the window. The plugin now shows the plan as active.
Invoices, payment details and cancellation are under "Manage billing" in the plugin. It opens Stripe's customer portal.
Cancel
You can cancel at any time, with no notice period:
- In the plugin's "Plan" section, click "Cancel plan".
- The plugin explains what happens and briefly asks for the reason (a choice, plus an optional comment). This helps us improve.
- Confirm. The plan ends immediately. For the unused time of the current period you get a pro-rata refund, minus the fees Stripe charged for the payment. Any tax you paid on it is refunded in the same proportion.
After cancelling, this site's live checkout stops accepting payments. The site itself stays online and test mode keeps working.
If several sites run on your plan, "Cancel plan" only cancels the site whose project you opened the plugin in. The others keep running. If you cancel in the customer portal ("Manage billing") instead, the whole plan ends, with all its sites.
If a payment fails
- Stripe retries the payment automatically and sends you an email.
- You then have a 7-day grace period. During this time everything keeps running as normal. The plugin shows until when: "Checkout stays open until …".
- If the plan is still unpaid after the grace period, the live checkout is temporarily closed. Visitors see "Checkout temporarily closed" when they try to pay.
Your site stays online and test mode keeps working. As soon as the payment goes through, the checkout opens again.
Multiple sites and agencies
If you look after several sites, they all run on one plan with the matching quantity. Each site connects its own Stripe account. That way your clients' money goes straight to them, and you pay for the plan in one place.
- Open the plugin in a project whose plan is already running. In the "Plan" section, under "Share plan with another site", click "Create share code" and copy the code (it starts with
pc_). - Open the plugin in the new project. Paste the code under "Already have a plan for another site?" and click "Add to existing plan".
- The new site is added to the existing plan, without a new checkout. Stripe charges the pro-rata amount for the current period right away.
